My Profile

Harry Edgar has been a Rugby League pioneer for much of the 50 years that have passed since he saw his first live game in 1959. In that time he has made an enormous contribution to the game across the world, most significantly in France, Italy, America and his native Cumbria, but he is best known as the campaigning author who launched the ground-breaking “Open Rugby” magazine in 1976 and published it for 22 years. The creator of the original worldwide Golden Boot award, he now publishes “Rugby League Journal” a high-quality quarterly dedicated to keeping memories alive. Having seen every Ashes series and every World Cup since 1959, Harry brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to rugbyleague.com
