As well as the Team of the Year, Opta Sportsdata have joined forces with rugbyleague.com to name the Top Ten best performing players in the 2009 engage Super League.
The same system of statistical analysis used to decide the regular Team of the Week and the overall Team of the Year has been employed, with players measured against a set of standard performance criteria, regardless of the position they usually play.
According to the Opta Sportsdata analysis, St Helens and England prop James Graham was the best performing player in engage Super League 2009. Bradford Bulls Andy Lynch was second best with England captain Jamie Peacock in third place.
St Helens have four players in the Top Ten and Leeds Rhinos have three players included.
